Southfields primary school is proud to offer Italian to our pupils who are currently in Reception, Year 1, 2 and Year 4.

We have a specialist teacher who is funded through the Italian Consulate to continue to support our local third generation Italian community as well as  promote the culture, language, food,  art and music of Italy.

Pupils access lessons weekly with our specialist teacher who has been working within the school for a number of years.  Pupils have a bespoke curriculum designed to inspire and engage them in developing an interest and understanding of Italian language and life. 

Cross curricular links are important in the Italian lessons which include Mathematics, Science, History and Geography as well as the natural links made though the Arts, Cultural and Language education.
